H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the only Buddha in our world who has been formally recognized as a Buddha according to Buddhist rules. Being the true incarnation of Dorje Chang Buddha, the supreme leader of Buddhism in the entire dharma realm (universe), H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the highest leader of all of Buddhism.

His Holiness the Buddha is the first one of tremendous virtue who only benefits all living beings voluntarily without accepting any offerings.

The awards and honors H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III has received are countless. Examples include the following: The mayor of Washington, DC, the capital of the United States, issued an official document proclaiming January 19, 2011 as “H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III Day” and called upon people to salute H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. The Lantos Foundation for Human Rights and Justice published an open letter that highly praised the outstanding contributions made to the world and humanity by the widely respected leader of Buddhism, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. That letter also supported the persistent efforts of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in raising the morality and civilization of mankind, advancing the prosperity and strength of the United States, and promoting world peace. In February of 2011, all members of the United States Congress and the highest leader of the prayer breakfast groups invited H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III to attend a prayer breakfast as a religious leader. That prayer breakfast, which was led by President Obama, was attended by the highest officials of the three branches of the United States government and religious leaders. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III was awarded the Presidential Gold Medal conferred by the chairman of the White House Presidential Advisory Commission for Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders on behalf of President George W. An even more noteworthy and rare honor awarded to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is the 2010 World Peace Prize Top-Honor Prize, which His Holiness the Buddha received at an award ceremony held on June 14, 2011 in the Gold Room at the U.S. Capitol. Moreover, on December 12, 2012, the Senate of the United States unanimously passed through an anonymous vote Resolution No. 614, which formally used the honorific title of "H.H." (His Holiness) for H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, thus affirming such status. The resolution also commended the accomplishments of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and His contributions to humanity. Because of the status of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, He is of course the highest leader of Buddhism in the entire world.
